Back In Iraq- Chapter 2

Thirty miles within Baghdad
The whole division, which consisted in the thousands, was completely shocked, there wasnt supposed to be any tank assistance, but now there was, the infantry division started to get angry. The tanks moved in and greeted everyone. There still was constant artillery falling on our position the Paladin tanks usually took the artillery out though with a bright laser beam and a zap which was heard from a mile away
Later that night to the shock of everyone, the president declared war on Iraq once again. Hours away from the address from the president came a convoy of supply trucks and even more tanks and support vehicles. Planes rushed over us with a load sonic boom, we would see a large explosion ahead of us and then a plane with a streak of fire and smoke behind it and another explosion.
Over radios we would get POW warnings all the time from downed planes. Two days into the war and we had five planes down already, but at least they were striking the target. Later that day we moved into several small villages some greeted us, and others greeted us with RPGs and even more mortar, we were to far away from Kuwait now to send back any soldiers that were injured so we had to make our own little shanty towns of tents to take care of them.
Out of no where MIGs the general screamed, not as good or efficient as Chinas MIGs but they still packed a punch loaded with bombs, the aircraft dropped bombs onto our supply lines and bridges. This made traveling a lot harder and not knowing what was up the road.
After several MIG attacks our own aircraft bombed Iraqi airfields, destroying most of the MIGs that were on satellite imagery, Eventually we captured an enemy airfield on a night time raid. We called in the C-130s for a supply drop, they eventually came and so did paratroopers. This night raid was successful.
Later that night a sand storm occurred, It gave the Iraqis a good shot at attacking the US lines of offence and our supply lines, I turned on my night vision goggles and told the artillery to shoot due north, I see hundreds of troops moving toward our location, The shells were hitting them, men went onto there tanks machine guns, it was like a light show, explosions every where machine gun tracers every where but luckily no one was hurt we were all alive, but then I squinted in my night vision goggles and screamed Tanks That was only the first wave.
